DayNavi ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account data: email address and display name you provide when registering.
Usage data: tasks (title, category, completion status, due time), daily energy level, mood check-ins, and notification interaction timestamps.
Calendar data: if you connect Google Calendar or your device calendar, we access upcoming events solely to display them in your day view and trigger transition alerts. Calendar data is never stored on our servers beyond the session.
Voice data: if you use Voice Brain-Dump, audio is sent to OpenAI Whisper for transcription and immediately discarded. We do not store voice recordings.
Analytics: anonymized usage events via self-hosted Umami (analytics.makebyte.de, Germany). No personal identifiers are collected. Data does not leave our infrastructure.
To provide core app functionality: syncing tasks and preferences across devices.
To power the AI Sidekick: your current task and energy context are sent to OpenAI to generate personalized check-ins and suggestions. No data is used to train OpenAI models.
To adapt notification timing: we store timestamps of when notifications were sent and opened to improve the timing of future reminders. This data is stored per user and never shared.
To display your personal stats: tasks completed, streaks (positive only), and usage patterns.
We do not use your data for advertising and do not sell it to third parties.
Your account and usage data is stored on our own self-hosted server in Germany (IONOS, Montabaur). We do not use Supabase Cloud or any US-hosted database. Your data is not subject to the US CLOUD Act.
Processors:
• Database: Self-hosted Supabase on a dedicated server in Germany. No third-party access.
• AI features: OpenAI API (openai.com, USA). Task context is sent for check-in generation. Prompts are not used for training. Legal basis: EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
